No more monkeys. . .

4 twin beds, 4 boys, 1 room.  They did surprisingly well, but it was not without a little bit of chaos.  The first night, shortly after we had tucked them in, this was the scene. . .

Summer Vaction 2012

Another year (our third, to be precise) in Isle of Palms with all these kiddos.  It's so fun to see them change every year.  And it's even more fun to see how they've stayed the same.

So much more to come!

Ten on Tuesday

Lots and lots to share today, starting on a low note. . .

1.  I'm sad to say that Rich's grandmother passed away on Sunday.  Her health had been in decline for the last couple of years but it is still sad to lose her.  We'll be visiting Pennsylvania in 2 weeks and we're heartbroken we couldn't have one more visit with her.  We are thankful that we made a stop to see both her and Rich's grandfather in Florida in March 2011 (before they moved back to Pennsylvania).  Rich's parents were there, too, so we had 4 generations of Shertzer men together.  Please keep his grandpa and the rest of his family in your prayers!

2.  This is a very busy time for us as we get ready to hit the road for a few weeks.  Pennsylvania is one stop on our trip, but we're also going to meet up with Clarks and Cobbs in South Carolina, see Rich's extended family (on his mom's side) in New Jersey, and make it Bozeman to visit friends, check on our house, and attend a wedding.  I'm excited about all of our stops, but packing for 3+ weeks is not going to be fun!

3.  One thing I definitely can't leave behind is my camera gear, so I'm excited to take some photo sessions while we're gone.  If you're interested in having me capture your family on one of our stops, please get in touch ASAP!  I still have space for a few more sessions.

4.  In other news, I am excited to announce that I have a new business venture as a consultant with Rodan + Fields!  The doctors that created Proactiv Solution have a new line of skin care products with four primary regimens (Anti-Age, Soothe, Unblemish, Reverse) and several accessory products (I adore the SPF 30 Body Sunscreen!).  After selling this line in high-end department stores since 2002, the Doctors decided to come out from under the glass case and market through direct sales in 2009.  I started using the products in 2010 and have been so impressed that I finally decided to make the leap to consulting!  The regimens have all had phenomenal clinical success and thousands of testimonials about changing skin for the better.  I'd love to chat more about it all, so please let me know if you'd like to learn more!

5.  On that note, I also have to say that not only are the products outstanding, becoming an Independent Consultant is a great business opportunity.  I have several friends who are having the time of their lives, working on their terms and with their schedule, working with their friends and family, and having outstanding success.  If you'd like to learn more, please let me know!

6.  Both Hayden and Benjamin are at Summer Camp this week and they (and me) are loving it!  It's at the preschool that Hayden just graduated from and that Ben will enter in the fall, so they were both eligible to go.  It's only half-day, but they are having a blast with friends and the "Surfin' U.S.A" theme.

7.  I can't believe tomorrow is the 4th of July!  While it is Maggie's least favorite day of the year, I'm looking forward to some good old small town fun at our town's daytime festival and nighttime fireworks that we'll be able to enjoy from our own front porch!

8.  Uncle Doug came for a visit last week and the boys were so excited to see him.  One perk of being an airline pilot is that he can hop on a flight pretty much anytime.  And one perk of us living in El Segundo is that we are right next to LAX, so airport pick up and drop off is a breeze!  He's recently decided to add "actor" to his resume, so while he was here I did some head shots for him.  Check them out on my blog!

9.  Speaking of my business blog, I have lots to come in the next few weeks!  I have been busy, busy, busy with photo sessions in June and can't wait to share them all!

10.
Finally, in the midst of our crazy life, my e-mail has been giving me fits.  I use yahoo mail and for the last week I am continually being booted back to the log-in page, requesting my password.  It happens about every 2 minutes and it is DRIVING ME MAD!  And ideas on what's going on?  My google searches are coming up empty.
