With so many pictures from last week, I hardly know where to begin, let alone how to organize them. I have them in folders by day (Sunday, Monday, etc), but there are still far too many on each day to commit to a single post. I thought about divvying them up by activity (beach-sand, beach-water, house, trips, etc), but again, far too many that way. So, I'm just going to let go and post 'em as they get edited!
These all just happen to be from Sunday, our first full day on the beach. It was solidly overcast, which was a nice way to ease into hot, humid beach weather. After all, when we left Montana it was more like late winter weather than summer weather.
We trekked a hundred yards or so to the beach every morning and set up camp.

We were on the north end of Isle of Palms, SC and it was just about the most perfect beach for us! It was quiet, with lots of space to ourselves. It was wide and flat, giving the kids lots of room to run around during low tide. There were amazing tide pools during low tide that were perfect for splashing and playing in. The water was warm and the waves were big enough to have fun but small enough to not be worried about getting clobbered.

All of the kids loved the beach! Benjamin literally dove right in and couldn't get the fistfuls of sand to his mouth fast enough.

He loved the water just about as much as the sand!

The best group of Daddies anywhere:

And Hayden leading up the sand-only contingent:

Quite the opposite of his brother. . .
Mudbaths and "spa treatments" were a popular activity. . .
. . . as were handstands and cartwheels.

And while he didn't want his feet to touch the waves, Hayden was more than happy to throw shells back to the sea.

I can't tell you exactly what will be coming up next, but there is so much more from our vacation to come!
